Richard Larry Lesch

Richard “Rick” Lesch of Rush City; formerly of St. Paul and Chicago, passed away December 19, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Mpls. at the age of 70 years. Richard Larry Lesch was born May 4, 1946 to Theodore and Jessie (Jaworski) Lesch in St. Paul, Minnesota.Rick served his country in the US Navy. A stand-up comedian who went by the stage name “Ricky Richards”, Rick played venues in Chicago, Mpls and New York. He loved playing cards, cooking and gardening. A very important part of Rick’s life was his cat “Stinky.”Rick is survived by his siblings Charles (Geraldine) Lesch of Claremont, Florida, Gerald (Joan) Lesch of St. Paul, Jean Hollander of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, Joan (Ray) Polak of Chicago, Illinois and Shirley (Jeffrey) Fishwick of Wheaton, Illinois; many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Jessie Lesch and a brother Theodore Lesch.A spring interment with military honors is planned around Rick’s birthday; this year (2017) in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery; Mpls.
