Dennis M. Mullins

            Dennis Merle Mullins, the son of William and Lempi Marie (Maki) Mullins, was born February 23, 1933 in Wagner Township, Aitkin County, Minnesota.  He passed away September 16, 2009 at Kanabec Hospital in Mora, Minnesota, following a long illness.  He was 76 years of age.             During his working years, Dennis was employed at a variety jobs.  He worked at the Coca-Cola plant in Pine City, the Pine County Highway Department, and at Ascotts Manufacturing until 1994 when ill health forced him to retire.  Even then he continued to work repairing lawn mowers and also did a lot of wood working.             Dennis is survived by Mary, his wife of 53 years; daughters:  Roxanne & Gerrold Wallen of Braham, MN and Sally Wolf of Pine City, MN; son:  Jim Mullins of Grantsburg, WI; grandchildren:  Melissa Wallen, Carrie Wolf, Cassie Wolf, Mark Wallen, Kevin Mullins, and Corey Ludwig; great grandsons:  Tyler, Trevor, Adam, and Parker; sisters:  Dorothy Coppess, Janice Mullins and Darlene Armstrong, all of Pine City, and Gerri Teich of Mora.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lempi Mullins, son Steven on September 14, 1990, sister Joyce Hanzlik, and brothers Howard, Donald, Gene, and Robert Mullins. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th at Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with Reverend David Forsman presiding.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service only.  Arrangements are with the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City.
