Gordon H. Johnson

Gordon H. Johnson, age 86, of Pine City, formerly of the West Rock Community, died Thursday October 1st at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Pine City.  Gordon is survived by wife Delphine; sons: Jim and his wife Sara of Anoka, and Brian and his wife Melanie of Andover; daughters: Nancy and her husband John House of Bellingham, Washington, and Ruth Ann and her husband Scott Mollberg of Rush City; daughter-in-law Cheri and her husband Ken Southorn of Pine City; 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Hamlet & Ellen (Blost) Johnson, his first wife Margaret, his son Wayne, and his sisters Betty MacArthur and Dorene Olson.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5th at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Pine City.  Visitation will take place Sunday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the West Rock Cemetery in Rock Creek, Minnesota.    “The family has suggested memorials to the:  West Rock Cemetery Association and the Pine City Lions Club.”
