Long Year Co. in the Twin Cities, worked as a welder until his retirement at the age of 62.
After retirement, Sonny could not sit still and worked several part-time jobs; E.F. Halls, Rehbein Sod Farm, Shelander Turkey Farm and Prefer Paving. Sonny was always on the go; whether fishing, ice fishing, hunting, going for long car rides in the country or showing off Wiendorf’s baby animals to anyone who stopped.
