Kathleen June Peterson (Anderson), Kathy was born to Roy and Clementine Anderson (Dulski) on March 1, 1945 and died on January 12, 2010. She lived in North Minneapolis and went to Lowell and Cleveland Elementary schools, Jordan Junior High, and Graduated from North High School in 1964. She then completed 2 years of further education at The Minneapolis School of Business where she graduated with a Medical Secretary Degree. She worked in this field until she became a mother of three.
As life moved forward and her children were all in school, she re-entered the workforce as an Electronic Typesetter, working the next 20 years for most of the major type houses in Minneapolis. She opened her own shop, Kathy’s Word, and ran it for the next 8 years.
Her interests have been many; she was involved in Community Theater and performed in a number of productions. Music was an interest of hers; she enjoyed singing, and took some voice lessons as a teenager. She also took violin lessons. Her other interests included creative writing, sewing and quilting later in her life. She wrote stories and poems, and having been a graphic artist, worked with making cards and crafts using her many skills. Quilting was her real passion; it allowed her the flexibility to take an idea for a quilt from design, fabric choice, layout, and final construction to completion, which was a reflection on how she chose to live life with beautiful creativity, and a zest to live life to the fullest with vibrancy from beginning to end. She excelled at flower gardening, loving her husband of 44 years, cherishing her grandchildren, and loving her two dogs, Swede and Rosie, dearly.
