Passed away suddenly on Friday, February 12th, 2010
Dave “Wally” Walters was born July 22, 1959 in Windom, Minnesota to Duane and Belle (Dutcher) Walters. As a small child, he moved with his family to Harris, Minnesota. He grew up in this area attending the North Branch School System and at the age of 17 joined the U.S. Army and served his country for 4 years. For the past 15 years Dave has been a truck driver for Knife River based out of Harris. Dave and his wife Pennie have lived in the Rock Creek, Minnesota community for the last 19 years.Dave is survived by his wife Pennie (DuRose) Walters, his children D.J., Amber, R.J., and Terry. His grandchildren Arie, Brody, and Bailey, his parents Jim and Belle Phillippi, his grandmother Pauline Walters, his siblings Tracy Walters-Freese and Robyn Walters-Lemmer, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Duane Walters and grandfathers Charles Walters and Fred Dutcher.
Wherever Dave went, laughter followed. He will be greatly missed by many.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19th at Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with visitation on Thursday, February 18th from 5-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
