Born July 18, 1923 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Mae and Harold Young. He was a younger brother to Edith.His early life was spent in St. Paul, Minnesota, often under the care of his aunts...Muriel Busun and Ruby Nelson. After serving with the United States Navy during W.W.II and the United States Army during the Berlin Airlift, Lloyd married Daisy Rosendahl of Sandstone, Minnesota in 1948.In the early 80's Lloyd moved to Pine City where he pursued his passions of running and writing. Lloyd found peace and contentment in the Pine City Evangelical Free Church as well as spending time with his granddaughter Laurel Anderson of Pine City.Lloyd is survived by his daughters: Anita Young and Vicki Young, both of Minneapolis, Carole Young and husband Richard Fenrick of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada, and son Lloyd Young Jr. of Minneapolis. He is also survived by grandchildren Randall and Aaron Anderson, Elena Fenrick and Laurel Anderson and great-grandchildren Jillian and Max and Piper and Samantha.Also surviving is his former wife Daisy of Minneapolis.He was preceded in death by his parents Mae and Harold, sister Edith and infant son Thomas.Memorial services are scheduled for 2;00 P.M. Thursday, August 19th at the Pine City Evangelical Free Church Lighthouse, 1045 Main St. S. with a memorial visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Inurnment with military honors will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Pine City.Memorials are preferred to the Novak-Milliren VFW Post # 4258
