William Donald (Willie) Garnett; a 24 year old Harley Davidson Motorcycle Technician from Pine City, MN passed away at HCMC Friday October 8th, 2010 after suffering injuries in a motorcycle accident on his way to the job he loved at the Eden Prairie - Wild Prairie Harley Davidson Dealership.
William lived to ride and work on motorcycles, graduating in 2009 from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He could not wait to get back to the mid-west to be with his family and friends upon completing his program ahead of schedule. He excelled in his program and had recently landed the job he had always wanted.
He was living with close friends from Pine City High School and was always there whenever anyone needed help. William was a social young man who could talk to anyone. This incredible gift accounted for the many lengthy phone calls he shared with those he loved.
He is survived by his parents Tom and Tammy (Lee) Garnett and sister Ashlee Garnett of Pine City; grandparents Don and Faith Garnett and Kaye Lee of Mellen, WI; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather William Lee.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday (10/15/10) at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pine City with Rev. Vicki VanderVegt officiating.
A time of visitation will take place 2 hours prior to the service on Friday at church.
