Alicia Kay Maria Rosario at the age of 30 passed away January 30, 2024 at home with family and friends by her side after battling many health issues and finally succumbing to kidney disease.
Alicia was born Nov. 6th, 1993, to Jorge Rosario and Nicole Schwab (Markuson) in St. Paul, Mn. Alicia grew up in West St. Paul, North Branch and Pine City where she obtained her G.E.D. and graduated ahead of her class. She then auditioned and was accepted at McNally Smith School of Music. She had a love for music that was accompanied by the voice of an angel, she had been asked to sing with an up-and-coming artist and had even auditioned for The Voice, but her anxiety unfortunately got the best of her, and she returned to Pine City.
Shortly after, in March of 2011, she gave birth to her pride and joy Hayden Anthony Rosario after a rather long and hard labor. Later she moved out to Williston, North Dakota where her health problems slowly began forcing her to eventually move back to Pine City. Along with health issues, Alicia also battled addiction problems. At the time of her death, Alicia proudly had over 18 months of sobriety under her belt and for the first time in a long time was able to be with her son and enjoy it knowing that she was becoming the amazing mother she once was.
Alicia was always good for a joke even if it was a bad one or a dirty one and would often call her parents in the middle of the night with the famous "do ya wanna hear a joke" and of course they would! Alicia had a contagious smile and laugh that could light up a room in an instant!
She is greatly loved and will be undeniably missed by many!
Alicia is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Patricia “Gummy” Harfield and great grandfather Dennis Markuson; cousins Kalisha Garcia, Louis Garcia.
She is survived by her loving parents and stepparents Jorge, Nicole, Jean, and Shawn, son Hayden Rosario; grandparents Dean and Deborah Plessel, siblings Danny (Shelby), Karyn (Dallas), Steven (Jessika), Anthony (Sylvie), Josh (Felicia), Nathan (Mary), Nikita (Derek), Brieanna (Lance), Damien, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
