Belinda Kay Harer of Chisago City passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Parmly on the Lake Assisted Living in Chisago City at the age of 60.
She was born March 23, 1964 to Clarence and Genevieve (Peterson) Harer in Rush City, Minnesota.
Belinda grew up on the family farm where she enjoyed the outdoors spending time with her mother in the vegetable gardens, as well as cooking, baking and crafts. She helped on the farm taking care of the youngstock and as a teen helped with the milking.
She loved flowers and animals and enjoyed picking wildflowers, feeding the barn cats fresh milk as well as the calves.
Belinda attended Sunday school as a young girl and was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Harris. She graduated from Rush City High School in 1982 and later resided in Chisholm, Hutchinson, and most recently Chisago City, where she enjoyed chapel services, Bible study, bingo, trivia, music, and arts and crafts.
Throughout the many challenges in her life, Belinda maintained a quick wit and sense of humor.
Belinda is survived by her brothers Richard (Cheryl) Harer of Andover, Steven (Debra) Harer of Pine City; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Genevieve Harer.
Reverend Dr. Vicki VanderVegt will officiate a private memorial service 3:00 PM; Friday, March 7, 2025 with a time of visitation for family and friends from 1:00-3:00 PM, all at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City. Interment will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Harris.
