Benjamin William Wimmer

Ben Wimmer passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 while receiving intensive care at St. Paul Regions Hospital in St. Paul at the age of 48.

Benjamin William Wimmer was born November 29, 1976 to Gregory and Sharon (Bobo) Wimmer in St. Paul. He and his sister grew up in Pine City, Minnesota on the family farm.

Ben was a wild child. His mother recalls coming back into the living room when he was nine months old and finding him climbing his way up the curtains. He was a Boy Scout, he played football, and he loved spending time with his buddies. He was a hard worker and a loyal friend.

Ben had an adventurous spirit. He was as tough as they come and he was never afraid of anything. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and he especially enjoyed fishing. He was also an incredibly ingenuitive person who could find a way to fix anything. He would always go out of his way to help a friend in need. Above all else, Ben loved having a good time. He had a laugh you could never forget and a smile to go with it. He holds a very special place in the hearts of many.

Ben is survived by his sons Noah Wimmer, Joseph "Jeb" Wimmer; daughter Clancy Carey; parents Greg and Sharon Wimmer; aunts Sharon (Wimmer) Langstrom, Janet (Bobo) Burnham; uncles Steve Langstrom, Bob Burnham, Mike Bobo; grandmother Stella Bobo; sister Bekah Campbell; brother-in-law Doug Campbell; long-time girlfriend April Berman; and her son Cody Gerner.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond and Ilene Wimmer; maternal grandfather Henry Bobo; aunts Sandy (Johnson) Wimmer, Teresa Bobo; and uncles Tony Wimmer and Dan Wimmer.

A celebration of Ben's life: 12:00-4:00 PM; Saturday, February 15, 2025, Pine City Town Hall, 21977 St. Croix Road, Pine City, MN.
