Cody Joseph Kukuk

Cody Kukuk of Sandstone died Monday, June 21, 2021 at the age of 30.

Cody Joseph Kukuk was born September 25, 1990 in Mora, Minnesota.

Growing up, Cody and his family enjoyed time outdoors cooking, camping and swimming. Traveling was also something they enjoyed when he was young, especially spending time in Oregon and Wisconsin. Cody, having two children of his own, was a proud father and looked forward to seeing them grow. Cody was a light in any room he was in and he was loved very much by his family and he will be missed dearly by many.

Cody is survived by his mother and father Wendy and Corey Mitthun; son Bentley Kukuk; daughter Kalianah Kukuk; brother Coleton Mitthun; sisters Novotny Mitthun and Ashley Kukuk; grandmothers Diane Kukuk and Millie Reed; grandfather Joseph Reed; uncle Ryan Reed; aunt Laci Reed; nieces Trinity, Tatum, Delilah, Kori, Eviette; many other uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his biological father Kip Kukuk; maternal great-grandparents John and Marion Novotny; paternal grandfather Gene Kukuk; grandfather Rick Broughton; grandmother Mondora Broughton.

A time for family and friends to gather will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City from 4-6 PM.
