David Allen Christen (Dave) passed away at his home in Pine City, Minnesota on July 9, 2024, at the age of 75.
David Allen Christen was born January 11, 1949 in NE Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John and Margaret (Fabian) Christen. He graduated from Edison High School in 1967. As a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force, he was stationed at Eielson AFB, AK during the Vietnam Era. He married Virginia Rampi.
After proudly serving, David returned to Minnesota, graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School, and became a Registered Respiratory Therapist. He worked for decades at various hospitals, dedicating his career to saving and bettering the lives of many.
While working at Fairview Riverside Hospital, David met his second wife, Lynn Nagel. David was married to Lynn for 20 years before Lynn's passing in 2019.
In his later years, David could be found tending to his garden, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and caring for his many beloved animals. He was very loved in return and will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his three children John Christen of New Brighton, Andrew Christen of Pine City, Sophia (Dylan) Goss of Killeen, Texas; two grandchildren Rowen Christen and Juliette Christen of New Brighton; sisters Marcia (Tom) Thole, JoAnne (Dave) Johnson; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Marge Christen; wife Lynn Christen.

Mass of Christian Burial for David: 11 AM; Friday, July 19, 2024, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beroun, Minnesota. A gathering of family and friends is planned for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pine City, Minnesota.
