DeWayne "Rob" Robert Schminkey

DeWayne "Rob" Schminkey of Pine City passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018 at the age 54 surrounded by his family. Rob battled heart failure for 6 years and showed incredible grace, strength, and humor throughout his journey. He was comforted to be reunited with his Maker.

Rob will be greatly missed and loved for his vivacious personality and will be forever remembered as "Adventure Man of the Wild".

Rob is survived by his wife Laurie; children: Leah (Zach) Salstrand and Renee (Natalie Kaplan) Schminkey; parents Donna and Bill Loosbrock; brothers: Don Schminkey, Steve (Deb) Schminkey, Kevin Schminkey, David Schminkey and sister Michelle (Paul) McConville; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Rob is preceded in death by his father Donald and niece Adina Cardwell.

Celebration of Life for Rob: 2:30 PM; Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Swanson Chapel with a time for family and friends to gather at 1:00 PM.

Memorials may be directed to the Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, Minnesota.
