Dolores Elaine Glasow

Dolores Glasow of Pine City passed away peacefully Friday, September 30, 2022 at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge at the age of 87. She struggled with Dementia the last few years and was ready to join her family members in heaven when she passed away.

Dolores Elaine Hanson was born August 26, 1935 to Porter and Evelyn (Thompson) Hanson in Winona, Minnesota.

Dolores moved to St. Paul after completing secretarial school. She worked for the State of Minnesota for a number of years before meeting her husband Don at the Prom Dance Center. Dolores and Don were married on October 26, 1963 and resided in Mounds View before moving back to Don's hometown of Pine City in 1967. Dolores attended Zion Lutheran and then Our Redeemer Lutheran churches. Dolores was active in Women's circles and Quilting groups at her church and sang for many years with the Pine City Singers. She had a kind heart and a sweet smile that everybody liked. She loved to play cards, especially 500 and cribbage. Dolores loved gardening and took pride in her raspberries that she sold to local families. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandsons fondly remember playing in the dirt in her garden with real metal toy tractors. She always took her grandson Chris to A & W to have a meal after he cut her three acre lawn. She had a positive attitude and willingness to help others, she loved to laugh, had a sweet tooth and was a great baker of all kinds of treats that she loved to bring to church events and share with family and friends.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her daughters Denise Jennrich of Lino Lakes, Debra Wicklund of Coon Rapids; grandsons Andrew (Anna) Jennrich and Christopher Jennrich; great-granddaughters Olivia and Charlotte; sisters-in-law Marion Glasow and Eileen Connaker; nieces, nephews and many friends in the Pine City community.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Porter and Evelyn Hanson; husband Donald Glasow; brothers-in-law Duane Glasow and Jim Connaker.

Pastor John Stiles will officiate at funeral services for Dolores: 2 PM; Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pine City.  A gathering of family and friends is planned from 5-7 PM; Friday (10/7) at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Lunch and fellowship will be at the church following the interment at Birchwood Cemetery.
