Elsie Moore, 88, of Rush City, passed away in her sleep surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Elsie and Joe met, fell in love and married in 1958. The two were inseparable from that point on for over 63 years. They were blessed with eight children.
Elsie was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family, neighbors and friends before her own. Her humor and laughter were contagious. Elsie loved to be of service to her church community. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Elsie is survived by her husband Joe Moore of Rush Lake; Dennis (Becky) Moore of Bullhead City, AZ, Donald (Diane) Moore, Annette Rivard all of Forest Lake, Joan Henchel of Hayward, WI, Frank Moore of Coon Rapids, Joe Moore Stanchfield, Edward (Jennie) Moore of Circle Pines, Leo Moore (Brenda Truwe) of Anoka; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Adele Matera of Colorado.
Elsie joins her parents John and Anna Matera; step-mother Martha Matera; brother Larry Matera; son-in-law Jim Henchel, in Heaven.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Elsie: 11 AM; Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for one hour prior to the Mass at the church. The interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Rush City.
