Eugene Aurthur LaMotte

Gene LaMotte passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his home in Pine City at the age of 75.

Eugene Arthur LaMotte was born August 23, 1949, to Clifton and Jacqueline (LaVaque) LaMotte in St. Paul, he was the first of three sons. 

Gene had many interests and hobbies including fishing, playing pool, working on cars in his body shop, and spending time with family at the cabin. In his later years he enjoyed playing golf with friends, watching sports, and attending the Faith Lutheran Church in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

Gene is survived by his wife Marlene LaMotte; children Steven LaMotte, Tammy LaMotte, Angela Fieberger, Brigitte Erickson, Danny Peltier, Jonathon Peltier; brothers John LaMotte, Tim LaMotte; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton & Jacqueline; son Greg Domino. 

A celebration of Gene's life will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church in Grantsburg at a later date.
