Ferne Delores Hunter

Ferne Hunter of Arlington, Tennessee passed away peacefully on October 6, 2021 in her home after a long illness.

Ferne Delores (Hultgren) Hunter was born in Midale, Saskatchewan, Canada on October 1, 1933 to Florence and Hjalmer Anderson.

After graduating from nursing school in Regina, Saskatchewan, Ferne continued her nursing career in Anchorage, Alaska where she met her husband of 61 years, Richard Foster Hunter.  As a pastor’s wife, Ferne joined her husband in three churches located in Cloquet, MN, Rush City, MN and Bakersfield, CA while at the same time maintaining an active career as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Ferne is survived by her husband Richard Hunter; daughters Debra Ferne Hunter, Dee (Scott) Geis; son Harrison (Laura) Hunter; grandchildren Carly Geis, Alex Hunter, Sydney Hunter, and Jackson Hunter; sister Marilyn (Don) Lee.

She was preceded in death by her father Hjalmer Anderson; parents Peter and Florence Hultgren; brothers Art Hultgren and Leonard Hultgren.
