Janet Marie Moschkau, born April 20,1948 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 21, 2024, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 76.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Moschkau and Edith (Hulbert) Glenna; stepfather, Milton "Mike" Glenna; siblings James, Richard, Douglas, Joanne; stepsister Cindy; brother-in-law Chuck; sisters-in-law Patricia and Pamla.
She is survived by her daughters Monica (Bill) Boedigheimer, Julie (Ted) Welk; grandchildren Jieles (Laura), Vanus, Amanda (Nathan), Alex, Devon, Jessica; six great-grandchildren. Janet also leaves behind her partner of 20+ years, Jerome Lachinski, along with his children Julie (Mark) Larson, Jeanne (Tim) Kordell, Sherry (Eric) Johnson, Susan (Dan) Kruschke, Kelly (Carl) Johnson, Renee (Dustin) Frey, Jerome Jr. (Nikki) Lachinski; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings Gary Moschkau, Chuck (Patricia) Moschkau, Duane Moschkau; step-siblings Michael (Cherri) Soden, Dan (Deb) Soden, Randy Glenna, Vicki Tyler; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Janet attended high school in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. In 1966 she married Mark Boedigheimer and moved to Tennessee before returning to Minnesota in 1969. She worked for over 20 years as a material handler at Lamaur and later owned J&M Upholstery, where she restored beautiful furniture pieces. Janet spent many happy years at the family cabin on the Yellow River fishing and hosting gatherings. After divorcing Mark in 1994, she moved to Cambridge and soon met Jerome Lachinski. Together they shared a love of fishing, woodworking, and crafting cabinets until their retirement in Quamba.
Janet had a passion for gardening and took pride in canning her bountiful harvests to share with loved ones. She also enjoyed watching wildlife from her chair, especially the deer that visited her yard. Above all else, Janet cherished time with family and made it her priority in later years.
Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. If love could have saved you...you would have lived forever.
Funeral services for Janet: 11:00 AM: Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Karmel Covenant Church in Princeton with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
