Jean Mae Larsen

Jean Larsen of Rock Creek passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, July 31, 2023 at her home at the age of 82.

Jean Mae Parker was born February 23, 1941 to William and Anastasia (Amberoz) Parker in Braham, Minnesota.

Jean was a loving wife, wonderful mom and grandma, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was good to everyone and shared her love of cooking and baking with family and friends. In the spring and summer, she could be found tending her beautiful flower beds; digging in the dirt made her happy. She spent many enjoyable hours on the front porch of the log home she and her husband Roger built. For many years, the family enjoyed visiting county fairs and threshing shows together.  She was employed cooking at different restaurants throughout the years. For 11 years she was employed cleaning at the Dennis Kirk Scratch & Dent Outlet in Rush City, where she enjoyed working and meeting new friends.   

Jean is survived by her children Ken Larsen (Cheryl Brennan) of Pine City, Deb J. Gray of Pine City, Amy Jensrud (Doug) of Braham; grandchildren Zach (Laura), Adam (Alexis) and Miranda Swanson, Gage Brennan, Steven Waters, Austin Christian; great-granddaughters Lucilia Bea Waters and Rue Sheri Cortes-Swanson; sister Mabel (Dale) Field of St. Cloud; sisters-in-law Mary Parker of Sandstone, Jan Parker of Askov; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Anastasia Parker; husband Roger Larsen; siblings Daniel (Peggy) Parker, William (Louise) Parker, Harley (Sandy) Parker, Laurie Parker, Henry "Hank" Parker.

A graveside service at Hustletown Union Cemetery will take place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 2 PM; following the graveside service, a time of visitation and fellowship for friends and family will be held from 4-6 PM at Mom’s Café in Pine City.
