Joseph "Joe" Moore of Stanchfield passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at his home, at the age of 92.

Joseph James Moore was born on April 6, 1932 to Joseph and Florence (Bibeau) Moore in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Joe met the love of his life, Elsie, and they were married in 1958. They were blessed with eight children. The two were inseparable from that point on for over 63 years. Even after Elsie's passing Joe's love for her grew strong, always honoring her memory with a monthly Mass intention where many of his kids and grandkids attended.

Joe worked his entire life as a cement finisher. He enjoyed work, fishing, farming, gardening, casinos, football, and grilling. He was an avid walker, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

"I am the Resurrection. If anyone believes in Me, even though he dies, he will live." John 11,26.

Joe is survived by his children Dennis Moore of Bullhead City, AZ, Donald (Diane) Moore, Annette Moore all of Forest Lake, Joan Henchel of Hayward, WI, Frank Moore (Linda Carlson) of Coon Rapids, Joe Moore of Stanchfield, Ed (Jennie) Moore of Circle Pines, Leo Moore (Brenda Truwe) of New Hope; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings George Moore of White Bear Lake, Jeannie (Bob) Tupa of Big Fork, Peggy (Lyle) Chounard of Mesa, AZ, Kathi Moore of Anoka; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Joe is preceded in Heaven by his loving wife Elsie Moore; parents Joe and Florence Moore; daughter-in-law Becky Moore; son-in-law Jim Henchel; siblings Bob (Adel) Moore, Jerry (Betty) Moore, Pat (Bob) Doyle, Rita (Red) Peloquin, Ted Moore, Chuck (Gail) Moore, Marie Moore; sister-in-law Laurie Moore.

Father Matt Shireman will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Joe: 11 AM; Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 5:00-8:00 PM with a 7:30 Rosary on Tuesday evening (3/18) at Olson Funeral Chapel. Reviewal and visitation also planned one hour prior to the Mass at the church. The interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Rush City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL), 4249 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55409.
