Joyce Darlene Dukeman

Joyce Dukeman of Sandstone, formerly of Fridley, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Ecumen in North Branch at the age of 77.Joyce Darlene Dukeman was born March 9, 1940 to Chester and Deloris (Workman) Dukeman in Minneapolis, MN.Joyce started working when she was 15 years old at the State Theater popping popcorn. She went to school at Lake Johanna, Mounds View and finished school graduating from a vocational school to become a seamstress. Joyce had a lifelong career of sewing and catering; including cooking for the Shriners and the VFW of Fridley.In 1959, Joyce was married to Robert Noyes and they had three children. She later married Chauncey Maher and Al Omilie.Joyce had many friends and was known to be a social butterfly. She loved to make blankets, china dolls, flower arrangements, crochet, color flowers and birds when she was no longer able to garden.Joyce is survived by her mother Deloris Dukeman of Isanti; children Jacqueline (Mark) Charpentier of Lindstrom, Robert Noyes of Pine City, Edwin Noyes of Mankato; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Judy (Eugene) Abraham and Joan (Lyle) Sikkink all of Rush City; many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her father Chester Dukeman.Pastor Peter Dobson will officiate at funeral services for Joyce: 2:00 PM; Saturday (6/24/17) with a gathering of family and friends 1 hour prior to the service all at the Rush City Baptist Church.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the: Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City~Olson Chapel. www.FuneralAndCremationService.com
