Judith Broman

Judith Ann (Carl) Broman passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Judith was born January 16, 1947, in Chanute, Kansas, and moved to Pine City with her family when she was around 10 years of age, where they bought and ran the well-known Riverside Sport Shop on the banks of the Snake River. She graduated from Pine City High School in 1964.

She married Ben G. Broman on November 28, 1967, and they moved to Plymouth, Minn. They adopted their son Kyle July 22, 1975, and moved back to Pine City in 1981.

She truly enjoyed working as a driver for the Pine County Senior Citizen bus, serving seniors and the handicapped in the community.

She was deeply involved in Zion Lutheran Church for many years, and took on numerous responsibilities, such as Sunday School teacher, group director, church choir soloist, and member of the Christmas program.

She loved living next door to her mother and spending time with her sister Arloyne and other family. She was a very caring and loving mother to Kyle, who was the light of her life. She was always kind and welcoming to Kyle’s friends, treating them like family.

She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Kyle, brother Roy (Jan) Carl all of Pine City, uncle Mike (Lola) Black, and her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Arlene (Black) Carl, sister Arloyne (Russell) Bergstrom and brother Rick Carl.

Pastor Tim Adams will officiate at funeral services for Judy: 11 AM: Wednesday (11/6) with reviewal/visitation one hour prior to the service all at the Swanson Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City.
