It is with great sadness to announce the death of Karen Jean Lucht (Miska) “StickGirl” who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 69.
Born May 27, 1955, in Rush City, MN to Leo and Helen (Kormendy) Miska, Karen was a pillar of strength to many, known for her determination, loyalty, humor, and quirkiness. She could see and imagine what could be when no one else understood.
Karen was a “jack-of-all trades.” She could sew beautiful dresses, work on a car, make items out of wood and sticks such as benches, walking sticks and anything else she imagined. She enjoyed being a part of the Geisler farm. She also had many roles in customer service. But most of all, Karen, had a beautiful heart for God and for the understanding of the accuracy of God’s Word.
Karen will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Thea Lucht of Colorado; grandchildren Wilamenah Merriam and Zebulon Merriam; sisters Victoria (Greg) Geisler of Pine City and Brenda Miska (Tony Stoker) of North Branch; close friend Terry Timmerman; and her many cousins, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Karen is joined in rest by her parents Leo and Helen Miska (Larbarski); son Nathan Lucht; sister Rita (Jeff) Schwartz; along with many other loved ones throughout her life. With a loving family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, she was cherished deeply by many.
Karen, with her upbeat personality, will be missed by all those who she touched.
Karen Lucht’s Celebration of Life “StickGirl’s Adventures” will be held at: 1:00 PM; January 4, 2025; Chengwatana Townhall, 27136 Forest Road, Pine City, MN 55063.
