Kathryn A. Emler was born September 29, 1948 to Anastasia and William Gajkowski in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After Kathy gave the nuns a run for their money and graduated St. Mary’s Academy in 1966, she went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in teaching at Alverno College. Graduating in 1970, Kathy taught in the Milwaukee Public Schools for 37 years until her retirement in 2007.
Kathy dearly loved her husband Robert Emler of Franklin, her daughter Lillian Carroll, son-in-law Thomas Carroll, and granddaughter Anastasia Carroll all of Fitchburg. Throughout her life, she shared her witty humor and her generosity. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. In her early life, Kathy enjoyed performing in musicals and plays. Later in life, watching theatre became important as well as singing in the Lutheran Chorale of Milwaukee, traveling the world, watching movies, dining out, reading, and playing with her cats.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Anastasia (Wierzejewski) and William Gajkowski.
Reverend Dale Reckzin will officiate at funeral services for Kathy: 11 AM; Wednesday, October 26, 2022 with visitation and reviewal one hour prior at St. John's Lutheran Church of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The interment will take place in Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
