Mary Ann LaTourelle passed away peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Paynesville Care Center at the age of 86.
Mary Ann Green was born January 29, 1938 to Arthur Green and Frieda Halvorson. She grew up in Minneapolis and worked as a factory worker until she trained to be a nurses aide. She was employed with the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids until her retirement. She married Donald S. Larson on April 30, 1960, and together they had six children.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved to talk about her grand and great-grandchildren to friends, neighbors and anyone else that would listen. She enjoyed quiet moments at home; feeding the birds, working crossword puzzles, games on her I-Pad and watching old westerns and murder mysteries. She especially liked spending time with her cat. Mary Ann was always quick witted, with a great sense of humor and was very well liked throughout her life. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Mary Ann is survived by her children Tod (Cheryl) Larson of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, Wendy (Chris) Jeub of Monument, Colorado, Heather (Mark) Pierskalla of Avon; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren on the way; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Green, Frieda Halvorson-Conyers; daughters Paula Larson, Debbi Odegard; son Drew Larson; siblings Nina Yates, Burt Green, Eugene Green; ex-husband Donald Larson.
The entire Larson family extends their heartfelt thank you to the Avon Rescue Squad, St. Cloud Hospital, Paynesville Care Center and Moments Hospice.
Keeping with Mary Ann’s wishes a private service will be held at a later date.
