Patricia Elizabeth Swanson

Patty Swanson passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at her home in Pine City at the age of 71.

Patricia Elizabeth Swanson was born April 16, 1953 to Norman and LaVerne (Widstrand) Swanson in Redwing, Minnesota.

Patty grew up and went to school in the Pine City area. She had a creative side that led to her love of art and painting. 

She worked for a short time at Plastech Research in Rush City, but for the majority of her life she was a homemaker.

She spent close to 12 years in Fort Tine, Montana, but the last several years at her home in Rock Creek on Hwy 70.

Patty is survived by her brothers Dick (Debra) Swanson of Bradford, Chuck Swanson of Pine City; brother-in-law Snooky Willert of Pine City; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and LaVerne (Widstrand); sisters Yvonne Osterdyk, Jake Willert; brothers Larry Swanson, Ron Swanson, Randy Swanson; nephews Nick Swanson, Shawn Fuller; nieces Kathy Maciewski, Debra Hensley, Kristin Gutz. 

Pastor Bruce Thompson will officiate at funeral service for Patricia: 1 PM on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City. A gathering of family and friends is planned for one hour prior to the service. Funeral luncheon will be held at the Rock Creek Lions Park (7000 Hwy 70, Pine City).
