Patricia Ann Lundborg was born in Milbank, South Dakota to Glen and Ardys Lundborg. Patty attended Willow River High School, graduating in 1967. On October 19, 1968, Patty was married to Carl Hischer at the First Presbyterian Church of Willow River. Patty and Carl lived in St. Paul where she worked at various jobs including King's Meat Packing. The majority of her work career centered around food management. Going back to school, Patty obtained a certification from the University of North Florida to be a dietary clinician. She worked at Cambridge Health Care Center for 13 years starting as a cook and working into management. Working at Hazelden Treatment for 4 years, Patty met many celebrities. She ended her work career by retiring in 2011 from Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake as a certified dietary manager.
Living in North Branch, Patty and Carl gave birth to their firstborn child Kevin in 1970. The couple moved to Cambridge and built a home when Karin arrived in 1972. Family was most important to Patty and she loved spending time with her siblings making Christmas lefse. She also loved to fish with Carl, read novels, do puzzles, play card games especially "31" where she recently was crowned queen and her longstanding career in shopping. When shopping you could always find Patty by her infectious Lundborg laugh that permeated the area.
