Randy Robinson, age 70, of Hugo, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, June 10, 2024, by the many loved ones who made the journey before him.
Randy Lee Robinson was born on November 8, 1953 to Ronald and Jean (Allen) Robinson at the Rush City Hospital in Rush City, Minnesota.
Randy spent his early years living in town before moving to the farm on the corner of Highway 61 and the Old Ferry Road where he grew up with his brothers Mike and Jerry and sister, Barb.
After graduating from Rush City High School, where he was very active in sports, Randy attended Humboldt Institute to begin his career as a freight auditor. Upon completing his education, Randy married Nancy Scheffer and moved to LaCrosse, WI, where they began their family. It was there that their daughter, Rachel, was born. After a few years, a job change brought them closer to home when they settled in Fridley, MN. It was here that their son, Scott was born.
Family meant everything to Randy! He enjoyed being involved with his children's activities, and he made frequent visits to Rush City to spend time with his parents, siblings and friends. When grandchildren came along, Randy made every effort to be present at all the sporting events, school activities, and dance recitals. His grandchildren were so blessed to have him as their grandpa.
Randy will be missed by many friends and family members whose lives have been blessed by his kindness and big heart. Of course, his wonderful humor will be missed as well.
Enjoy your homecoming in heaven, Randy! We will miss you and love you until we meet again!
