Dick Lawrence passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home in Rock Creek at the age of 69.
Richard James Lawrence was born November 27, 1953 to Willard and Mary (Olson) Lawrence in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dick graduated from the Coon Rapids High School and received an Associate Degree in Machine Shop from the Anoka Vocational Community College.
In 1992, on December 4th in Fridley at the Emmanuel Christian Center Richard and Sharon were married. In 1995, they started a machining business; manufacturing precision parts, working together for 28 years.
Dick is survived by his wife Sharon Lawrence; son Aaron (Katie) Lawrence; daughter Anna Petyo-Apitz; step-sons Sean (Cynthia) Coleman, Kjell (Jacqueline) Coleman; grandchildren Nathan, Julia, Henry Lawrence, Ashton Apitz, Alexander Apitz, Lincoln Petyo, Kate Coleman, Jack Coleman; sisters Karen Huettl, Marilee (Michael) Gochenour, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Mary Lawrence; nephew Mark Huettl; brother-in-law Dave Huettl.
A Celebration of Life for Dick will be held on May 13th at 11:00 AM. Services at the Pine City Evangelical Free Church-Lighthouse Campkus will be live streaming will be via U-Tube. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Lunch will be served at the church immedatiately following the service.
