On December 9, 1940, Sharon was the fourth of five children born to Peter and Olga (Schultz) McRitchie in Lisbon, North Dakota. Sharon grew up in rural Sheldon and graduated from Lisbon High School in North Dakota.
After graduation she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived with her Aunt Fran and Uncle Rudy, helping with their children Karen and Brian, while starting in the workforce. Sharon married Robert Haare and together they raised two children, Deborah and Donald. They brought them on many adventures from weekend trips to Sheldon, North Dakota to Menahga, Minnesota (where Bob was from) to trips for coon hunting, snowmobiling, camping to owning Martins Resort on Rush Lake and onto Arrowhead Music from Moose Lake, Minnesota. Sharon continued and still spent 22 years in management at the Hinckley Casino with her final job in Cambridge. Her favorite was working as security in the concert venue of the casino.
Sharon's hobby was working! She was able to fit in many concerts that came to town, was a faithful wrestling fan, loved gambling at Danbury or Blackbear, stopping at garage sales and eating ice cream.
