Tim Pixley

Timothy J. Pixley passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, very suddenly from health complications at his home in Rock Creek at the age of 61. Tim was born March 21, 1963, to Vincent and Dorothy (Stoffel) Pixley. He was their sixth child of their eight children.

Tim grew up with three brothers, Dave, Doug, and Brad together they entertained each other especially when they were shooed out of the house by their mother. The shenanigans they got themselves into often included neighborhood kids. The activities included making obstacles courses in the hayloft, derby vehicles for the county fair, hunting with “Duchess” or any other dog that would get excited around gunshots. He enjoyed living on the farm, raising animals with Grandpa’s guidance, gaining valuable knowledge on farm economics. Tim was a past member of the Pine City-Hinckley Flames Snowmobile Club and enjoyed riding the trails.

In 1981, Tim graduated from the Pine City High School. After graduation he enrolled in the Machinist Program at Pine Technical College, graduating in 1982. While working as a machinist, Tim decided to pursue a career as an electrician following his grandfather’s footsteps. In 1986, he graduated from Anoka Technical College and worked as a licensed electrician.

Tim enjoyed snowmobiling, riding his 4x4, driving his tractor, going to auctions, fishing, hunting, and tinkering on small projects. He especially loved spending time with his family. He was always willing to help family and friends with any handyman projects as well as electrical issues. He was kindhearted and we miss his bear hugs.

Tim is survived by his father Vince Pixley of Pine City, sisters Marlene, Deanne, Elisabeth “Lisa” Pixley all from Eden Prairie; brother Greg Pixley of Pine City, Doug (Pamela) Pixley of Elk River, Brad (Vicki) Pixley of Grasston; sister-in-law Susie Pixley of Grasston; nieces Laura (Ryan) Mills, Lacey (Sean) Passer; nephews James (Bekah) Pixley, Carson Pixley, Dawson Pixley; great nieces Scarlett and Lenore Passer; great nephews Sawyer and Marshall Mills, Brooks Pixley.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Pixley; brother David Pixley.

Monsignor Aleksander Suchan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Tim: 10:30 AM; Friday, January 10, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City.   

A time of visitation: Thursday, January 9, 2025 4-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Swanson Chapel, also visitation one hour prior to the Mass in the St. Anthony Commons area of the church.
