Wayne Pistulka passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2024 at his home in Woodbury, Minnesota at the age of 71.
Wayne Michael Pistulka was born September 21, 1952 to Herbert and Lydia (Pulkrabek) Pistulka in Rush City, Minnesota. He attended St. Pascal's Elementary School in St. Paul for grades 1-8 and graduated in 1970 from Hill High School in Maplewood, Minnesota. He enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard and served in the reserves as a Specialist Four, 47th Military Police Company from 1971-1977. During his time in the reserves he attended St. Paul Vocational school where he completed a welding course.
Although he grew up in St. Paul, Wayne enjoyed spending time in Beroun with grandma Pulkrabek and Uncle Ronnie.
Over the years the annual deer hunting trips to Backus, Minnesota increased his love of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed traveling and made his way to Canada, Utah, Alaska, the Banks Island part of the Northwest Territories, Montana, Louisiana. His most memorable hunting trip was to South Africa. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and skydiving, and he even had a Student Pilot Certificate.
Wayne is survived by his sister Cheryl Pistulka; several cousins; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Lydia Pistulka; brother Gregory Pistulka.
Deacon Gene Biever will officiate graveside services for Wayne: 3 PM; Saturday, May 18th at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Beroun.
